Mastodon With all the current turmoil amid Elon Musk’s recent aquisition of Twitter, a lot of people are looking for a new micro blogging home. I decided to give Mastodon a go, as I saw it mentioned a lot. I went to the joinmastodon.org website, browsed through the list of instances there and decided to give mastodon.scot a go. Mastodon is a distributed, decentralised platform. There are hundreds of different instances (servers), covering interests from all walks of life.

Eight years ago today Eight years (let’s say a generation😉) ago we got the chance make our own decisions as a new (old) country. It didn’t go the way I’d have liked, but if it had, this is what I would like to think we would be working towards: As I hope will happen if (when) we eventually do gain independence, the SNP and Alba (hopefully Labour too) will no longer exist, splintered, some hopefully forming a new, progressive party, some going to the Tory party (no doubt) and of course the Greens and whatever else.

Klaus Meet Klaus. He lives with my children and their mum. My son and daughter named him after the character from “Umbrella Academy”. He’ll be coming to mine for his holidays.
